AFFORDABLE WEB SITE SUBMISSION
FAQs

Q1. To Register or not To Register?

A. Registering your site is a crucial part of promoting your website. If you don't register your site, search engines such as Infoseek, Yahoo!, Excite, Webcrawler, Alta Vista, Hot Bot, Lycos ,ets., will never know your site exists. You are INVISIBLE.

Q2. How does "WEB SITE SUBMISSION" differentiate itself from other directory listing services?

A. Some companies use automated computer programs that cannot come close to the level of detail we take when submitting your site. We take the time to make each submission with a precise description and category that has been tailored for each specific directory.

Because each search engine or directory works differently, changes often, and has its own quirks, we submit your site on an individual basis.

We review your Website's HTML source. (Most of the sites we've reviewed are missing two important lines of code.) This can make a big difference in how a search engine "sees" and rates your site. (Does anybody else do this for you?). If the two lines of code are missing, We will write them for you based on the information you provide for us. These lines of code will control the way in which many of the search engines list your site.

Q3. Is this a one time cost ?

A. Yes. Included in the price is a SECOND re-submissions 6 months after the 1st.

Q4. How often I need to re-submit and why?

A. You need to re-submit your URL regularly because new search engines are being added daily to the web and you don't want new websites, which are your competitors, pushing you down the search engines. Also since your site changes you need to notify the robots and spiders to revisit your site so you stay on top.
Several search engines and directories will keep your webpage in their database for only a few weeks. Then they replace your listing to make room for the new sites being submitted. To maintain maximum exposure, you need to re-submit your site on a periodic basis. That way you make sure that your site remains visible at all times.
With over 35 million documents on the world wide web, and approximately twenty thousand sites being added every day, there is fierce competition for entries in search engines and directories. It's important to get your site listed on as many search engines and directories as possible. However, it is just as important to update your listings on a regular basis.

Q5. How long will it take for you to submit my site?

A. We submit in 24 hours.

Q6. How long will it take for the search engines to index my site?

A. It varies from search engine to search engine. It can take from 1 to 30 days. Some search engines will guarantee a specific time frame, some will not. We have no control over this time frame, and therefore cannot guarantee anything.

Q7. How will I know you did put my web site in the search engines ?

A. Some Search Engine /Directories may not send an Email confirmation of your submission. We will submit your email number along with your submission to these Search Engines/Directories to enable you receive confirmations directly from them . Therefore we do not accept any responsibility if the email number provided by you is incorrect. We will send our customers email reports of submissions made by us , however this does not imply that the submissions are accepted by these Search Engines/Directories and other resources. This is only an acknowledgement that the submissions has been made on the prescribed format.

Q8. Would my web site rank in the top 25 listings?

A. Yes, if you follow our FREE TIPS

Q9. What if I have already registered my Website with some of the search engines?

A. If you did it without the correct HTML tags, it doesn't really matter. Without them, your site has been given a pretty low rating by the "spider" search engines such as InfoSeek, Lycos, WebCrawler, AltaVista, etc. When a keyword search is done, your site could end up listed as number 138,452 out of 1,234,876 relevant documents. By using the proper HTML to control what these spiders "see," you dramatically improve your rating...and the likelihood of your site being found during a search. After properly coding your site, resubmitting it can only IMPROVE your visibility.

Q10. Somebody else hosts my site. How do I add the HTML you will send me?

A. Simply forward the e-mail message we send you to your Webmaster. He or she will know how to insert it.

Q11. Does your submission service include submission to the major search engines such as Alta-Vista, City Net, Excite!, Hot Bot, InfoSeek, InfoSpace, Lycos, Magellan, MetroScope, Web Crawler, Whats New on the Internet, World Wide Web Worm, WWW Search Tower, and YAHOO!?

A. Of course!

We do not guarantee that any, search engine, directory announcement service, or guide (Catalog) will accept your submission. We act only as YOUR AGENTS in submitting your website details in the prescribed form of each Search Engine/Directory. We do not have (nobody has) any control over these companies as they have their own criteria and other rules of deciding whether and when your submisssion should be accepted. This may also depend on the backlog they presently have.

We do not take any responsibility for the contents, claims or representations of any Search Engine, Directory or Catalog for the submissions made by us on behalf of our clients. Search Engines, Directories and catalogs are under no obligation to accept any company requests. It may be possible that a Search Engine /Directory we submitted to suddenly goes out of business . In such case we do not accept any responsibility for submissions made on your behalf.

Sometimes a Search Engine/Directory may be temporarly down in which case we would have to make your submission at an alternate time and this may result is a slight delay.
